I have read almost all your guest book Mr. Trailor, I have been in the martial arts for over 13 years. I am not an instructor. Saul I do not know way you would make such a backwards statement about Mr.Trailor. Everything I see, Shows him more than a capable fighter and instructor, as far as Stan, What did he say for you to agree? I do not agree with everything that Mr.Trailor has on his website, but I would not ever disrespect someone like that, Everyone claims to be the "BEST and "ONLY" in some form or fashion, It's called advertising. Saul you have ALOT to learn. Sounds like you are either a competition school or an MMA fighter with NO RESPECT for the art or those that are instructors. It is easy to say things when you are behind a computer screen and you are anonymous, While Instructors like Mr.Trailor puts his name out there with who he his and what he does and who his instructors ect… I looked over his credentials and they are without reproach. Not only does he shows what level but who the Instructor is. Saul you are LOST. You are sad excuse for a person grow up be a man. Mr.Trailor as far your website, I do not agree with some of your views but it is your opinion and your website. I take aikido & Judo, which I think will work will on the street. Keep doing what you are doing Sir, But I would suggest that you reframe from knocking Traditional Martial Arts, Just my thoughts

This guy shows what a real paper dragon really is. His most prized credentials are from a two day course in which EVERYONE is guaranteed an instructor certificate. The guy is full of hot air and isn't half as good as he leads you to believe. Claims such as "the best", "the only", blah, blah, blah. He teaches some decent stuff but the majority is garbage that would NEVER work in a real situation. He claims to test his material but he must test it against little kids because it wouldn't work against real fighters. Stan, you're right about all you have said. Admin reply: Saul, Thank You for your opinion Sir. I hope to meet up to your standards someday. I am on a journey of SELF DISCOVERY. So again Thank You.

I have been involved in some form of martial art for over 30 years and I am currently teaching and running 11 karate clubs in South Texas. As part of further development of my own study into martial arts I will know become a student of Mr. & Mrs. Traylor. I got to train with the Taylors for a week, During this time I have found the tutelage from Master Traylor to be excellent and the adaptation of the skills learned from D.G.C.F.S. translates very well into the further understanding of my karate training.
In short, I would highly recommend the Dark Gift Combat School to the new student or anyone who is currently involved in the study of martial arts. J.CORE P.S. Thank you for such a humble attitude Mr. & Mrs. Traylor

Dear Mr. Traylor. I come to you with a *bow* out of respect for you and your school. As stated earlier I have had a great pleasure in meeting you and talking with you first hind. As I haven't taken any of your classes (as of yet) I can say that I'm a pretty non-bias, 3rd party person. As a new school owner in town, one could even look at us as 'competing schools'. I have looked at a lot of schools in my short time. I have seen many styles. Many 'end all, this is it combat' schools. I honestly in my heart feel like you are the real deal. You practice what you preach and you don't preach it just to have something to practice. And this isn't taking anything from anyone else that may have something that works. Because on two levels, one; what works, works. And two; a style is only as good as a practitioner. You seem to understand that and have created something simplified. And thus it works even for the not so gifted martial artist. I, being a practitioner of TKD, hate that the art is usually flooded with the 2% of gifted athletes. This doesn’t make them a martial artist. It’s makes them an athlete that knows how to kick, punch or throw. I’m reading all the messages from the people that are drinking from the hater-aide. I wish they would try water instead. Haha. Clint Bodungen’s friend Pablo said it best. Worry about what you’re doing, not someone else. But I wish in a true martial arts spirit of self realization, growth and getting to know one’s self, people would rather come together and learn from and expand with each other vs. being crabs in a bucket. Keep doing what you do and let the haters be your biggest promoters. As long as they keep opening their mouth, word of mouth advertising will always be number one. Haha. Admin reply: Sensei Turnerhill Spoken Like a true Martial Artist. I *Bow* with respect. word of Mouth is GREAT advertising, be GOOD or BAD.. We at D.G.C.F.S. proud ourselves on ABILITY, NOT paper cerification or credentials Like Mr.Bodungen stated. My Wife and I look forword 2010, We are Reaching out to the Traditional Martial Arts Community, doing seminars ect..here in Houston and other citys & States. I look forword in getting our two school togethor Sensei Turnerhill

You know, as a former student of DGC, even I have had my differences in philosophy with Mr. Traylor. But regardless of whether or not you agree with his credentials or claims, there is no disputing his skills and attributes. And when it comes down to it, credentials are only as good as the practitioner. If you have a world master with all the best credentials, it means c*** if the "master" is all conceptual. It's about being able to do what you say and not how much paper you have on the wall and from whom. There once was another man that went against all tradition, was criticized, and didn't have much more training at the time other than Wing Chun. He learned all that he could and created a hybrid system of his own. That man was Bruce Lee and now it is hard to dispute what he is and what he has brought to our industry. You may say that Mr. Traylor and those like him are no Bruce Lee... but how do you know... just like those that disputed Bruce Lee didn't know what he was to become. It's not very martial art's like to disparage others... and even I had to learn this. A good friend of mine, Pablo, once told me... Let others do what they do and you focus on what you do... and it will all work itself out. Let us all work together and not against one another... times are tough enough as they are.
