 Mr.Traylor is the founder of
DARK GIFT COMBAT FIGHTING SYSTEM, A.R.S.T. (Action Reaction Stress Training),
A.C.T. (Accelerated Combative Training),
Co-founder of V.E.D.S. (Violent Encounter Defense System), and the Co-Founder of the R.E.A.C.T. (Rapid Endurance Assertive Combative Training).
His first introduction into martial arts was in the art of KUNG-FU. He started this art at the very young age of 5 years old. Mr. Traylor was very dedicated to continuous learning and at age 12 took on another art known as TAE-KWON-DO. At this time he was training and learning 2 different art forms with completely different systems. At 14 years old and very mature for his age group on this dynamic art he earned his black sash in PALM-YE. At age 16 he had already earned his Jr. Black Belt and at age 18 earned his full Black Belt.
Mr.Traylor began his KICKBOXING training in the early 1980's and has been able to compete and place in numerous tournaments and competitions worldwide. He has over 20 years in kickboxing training and still trains today.
In his quest to be a complete & well rounded martial artist, he also began his training in PROGRESSIVE FIGHTING SYSTEM (JEET KUNE DO / KALI) and BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU. He is now a P.F.S. instructor and is on his way to earning his black belt in B.J.J.

Throughout his 35 years of training, Mr. Traylor has won numerous tournaments and achieved numerous awards. These are the ones he is most proud of:
- Black Sash - Palm YE Kung Fu
- 2nd Place - P.K.A. Kickboxing Nationals
- 1st place - W.K.F. AMATEUR KICKBOXING SUPERLIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION
- EXTREME PIT FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP (before it was cage-fighting ) - MR.TRAYLOR was trained for a cage fight on February 5, 2000 with the help of BETISS MANSOURI and won his fight with a knock out in the 2 round!
- MR.TRAYLOR was on the U.S.A. NATIONAL TEAM (in KUNG-FU)
- A rape prevention seminar aired on 6-98 for P.B.S. (PUBLIC BROADCASTING SYSTEM).
- MR.TRAYLOR was also featured in the DAILY BULLETIN news paper as well as the GRAPE VINE PRESS, for his martial arts classes.

- MR.TRAYLOR was part of HOME LAND SECURITY in California with a group called S.T.A.F (SPECIAL TACTICAL ASSUALT FORCE), which is an ANTI-TERROIST training group.
- Mr.Traylor trained with S.W.A.T., D.E.A. F.B.I. and local law enforcement and also trained them in hand to hand combat and weapon disarmament.
- He taught A.R.S.T. (ACTION REACTION STRESS TRAINING) to local officials as well as correctional officers.
- Mr.Traylor tTrained the 4005TH USAH Minimal Care Detachment Unit Here in Houston,Tx.
(250+ Military personnel) on December 8, 2007 and received an achieventment award "below". It states:
"Mr.Malvin Traylor, your support of the 4005th United States Army Hospital, outstanding combat defense, "Dark Gift Combat Fighting System" course conducted 8 December 2007. Your thoughtful and valuable insight benefited the soliers and reflects great credit upon yourself, the United States Army Reserve and the city of Houston."
MR. TRAYLOR said, "It was an Honor and a privilege to train our men and women of our Military, law enforcement and goverment agencies that protect our HOMELAND from harm."
